Sculptures restoration and reproduction
As the restoration of historic monuments became technically more complex than ever, restorers were asked to augment their expertise in the fields of protection and conservation.
In this context, the technological contributions for diagnosis and the development of specific protocols brought restorers to a new level, while preserving state of the art techniques.
Specializing since 1946 in the restoration of built heritage, H. Chevalier created Atelier Chevalier in 2014. Their workshop is structured around a team of restorers with extensive experience restoring sculptural and decorative features of listed monuments. As of today, the workshop’s team is comprised of seven restorers in the fields of stone, marble and metal, one ornamental sculptor and one modelmaker and plasterer.
