Restoration and preservation of works of art

Founded in 1964 in the Périgord region of France, SOCRA enjoys an international reputation for their combination of technical expertise and broad artistic knowledge.

From an original specialty of re-laying ancient mosaics and pavements, the company then extended their expertise to large stone and metal monuments.

Today SOCRA is proud to include among its 5,000 completed projects some of the most outstanding monuments of cultural heritage in the world.

Among them are:

– The Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles
– The Statue of Saint-Michael from Mont-Saint-Michel
– The fountains at the Place de la Concorde in Paris
– The horse-drawn chariots that crown the Grand Palais in Paris
– The sculpted stone portals of the Cathedral of Bordeaux, Reims and Nantes.
– The lead sculptures of the Royal Chapel of the Palace of Versailles
– The copper statues of the twelve apostles and the four evangelists of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris
– A 14th century pavement flooring in Uzbekistan
