Tassin

Founded in 1905 by Jules Tassin, Tassin is established in Paris, one of the most historic places for furniture craftsmanship. In its workshops, the company masters the ancestral know-how of excellence in the art of craft leather covering, a technique inherited from the 14th century.

Its team of skilled craftsmen create and restore traditional items or furniture items such as : desk accessories and ornaments, screens, as well as contemporary items: floor and wall coverings, seats…

Tassin also perpetuates the fine crafts of leather gilding and Cordoba leather painting, thanks to their unique ancient collections of embossing plates (Henri II and Cuir de Cordoue) and gilding rollers and irons.

At the same time, Tassin is one of Europe’s leading distributors of leathers for the decoration & furniture area as well as naval, automobile and aeronautic areas, in France and worldwide. The leathers are processed in renowned European tanneries, in compliance with technical, environmental and safety standards.

Tassin has held the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label since 2006.
