Over a hundred years in the search for excellence

Production and restoration of decorative Ironmongery including decorative hardware and locks

From the 18th century townhouse to the most contemporary décor, VLD has embraced a 100-year old pursuit of excellence: restoring the emblematic sun king figurehead French window guards of the Place Vendôme, manufacturing an illuminated console made of alabaster and brass for a Parisian palace, fashioning a decorative screen in tortoiseshell for a renowned decorator or making a hand-forged grand stair railing for a palace residence in the United Arab Emirates.

Every achievement of VLD is unique and customized. Each project is considered as a new challenge, a new occasion to aim for and reach perfection.

Their team pays careful attention to their client’s expectations, and brings the same meticulous hand to the making of shop drawings and prototypes. The company works with all sorts of materials: brass, bronze, stainless steel and steel.

In their quest for excellence, and to increase their technical and artistic capabilities, in 2016 VLD acquired Joël Orgiazzi’s well-known workshop in Lyon, which specializes in high-end ironmongery.

In recognition of its high-end skills, VLD holds two Qualibat certifications: 4413 – Metalwork (Higher Technicality) and 4493 – Fine Ironwork.

It also holds the EPV label (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), a mark of recognition from the French government, set up to distinguish industrial and artisanal savoir-faire of excellence.

VLD is also a member of the GMH (Groupement des Entreprises de Restauration des Monuments Historiques).
